Democratic ideal tested by the demands of political equality (21st April)

Between Metoo and Blacklivesmatter, American society is the laboratory and play-ground of the struggle of equality and all forms of discrimination. The multiplication of the demands of minorities in France and the United States of America turn the spotlight on these two societal models. Are the French models of republican universalism and the American multi-cultural model currently experiencing a serious crisis and can one still talk about valid models of integration in each of these countries?

Cinema and Series : What influences the younger generation? (9th June)

For over a century American cultural productions such as film and series have influenced the collective imagination of European youth, what are the dangers of the clichés propelled by these productions on their life-style ? Do European forms of aesthetics have any influence on contemporary American forms of life-style ?

The Challenges of Diversity in Museums (7th July)

How to convey the history of cultural institutions and avoid clashing with personal memories ? In this era of canceling cultural concepts, how to avoid creating a vacuum while assessing the history of present diversity in France and America, and also respect the various minorities ?
